Constitution

The Constitution is the foundational legal document that governs every part of how we run the business. All terms and business practices should be weighed against it.

We stand for the following principles:

1. To foster a positive community of readers and authors.
2. To support freedom of speech, tempered by civility and politeness.
3. To provide ways for authors to earn through their craft.
4. To support authors towards trad pub, self pub, or hybrid, if they so choose.
5. To strive never to be shady, predatory, or evil.
6. To support literacy and the love of books.
7. This constitution shall form the mission and foundation of all we do. All business practices shall be weighed against it. It shall only be updated with a simple majority of staff and a simple majority of monetised authors.
